Dr. Maxine Vu was born in Saigon, Vietnam, and came to the United States at the age of seven. Her family had escaped Vietnam by boat in 1982 from the Communist regime to seek freedom and a better life in America. She grew up in Virginia Beach, Virginia. After graduating high school at the top of her class, she earned a full academic scholarship to attend the University of Virginia where she received her Bachelor's degree in Biology and minor in Anthropology in 1995.
Passionate for a career in health care and helping people, she continued her doctorate studies at Columbia University, School of Dental and Oral Surgery in New York City and received her D.D.S. degree in 1999. She continued her training after dental school at Morristown Memorial Hospital residency program. She worked as an associate in private practice in Morris County after completing her residency and established her own office in 2006 in Denville, NJ.
Dr. Vu currently resides in Somerset County with her husband and three children, Abigail, Bridget and Nathaniel. She stays active in her church and community and loves spending quality time with her family hiking and traveling.
